Ingredients:

  1. Paneer - 500 grams
  2. Cashews - 1/4 cup
  3. Tomato - 2 medium, chopped
  4. Ginger - 1-inch piece, grated
  5. Green chilli - 2, chopped
  6. Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  7. Cream - 1/4 cup
  8. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  9. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  10. Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  11. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  12. Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  13. Salt - to taste
  14. Oil - 2 tbsp
  15. Butter - 2 tbsp
  16. Coriander leaves - for garnishing

Instructions:

  • Soak the cashews in warm water for 15 minutes. Drain the water and blend the cashews into a smooth paste.
  • Cut the paneer into thin slices and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the ginger, green chillies and saute for a few seconds.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
  • Add the cashew paste and cook for a few minutes. Then, add the yogurt, cream, garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Take another pan and melt the butter in it. Add the paneer slices and fry until they turn golden brown.
  • Now, add the paneer to the gravy and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
